Manufacturer’s Description
The Kimber Micro 9 is a semiauto, 1911-style pistol built on a subcompact aluminum frame with a stainless steel slide, and chambered in 9mm. Other standard features across all Micro 9 models include:
- A stainless steel, ramped barrel;
- a full-length guide rod;
- a 16-lb. recoil spring;
- a lowered and flared ejection port;
- a high cut under the trigger guard; and
- a solid aluminum, match-grade trigger with a 7-lb. pull.
Kimber offers the Micro 9 in a variety of models, including:
- The Micro 9 Stainless, which features an anodized finish on the frame, a satin silver finish on the slide, angled rear grip serrations on the slide, dovetailed black sights, a left-side thumb safety and checkered rosewood grips;
- the Micro 9 Two-Tone, which features an anodized finish on the frame, a matte black finish on the slide, angled rear grip serrations on the slide, dovetailed black sights, a left-side thumb safety and checkered rosewood grips;
- the Micro 9 Crimson Carry, which is a Micro 9 Two-Tone with checkered rosewood Crimson Trace Lasergrips;
- the Micro 9 Custom Defense Package (CDP), which features a matte black finish on the frame, and satin silver finish on the slide, angled rear grip serrations on the slide, dovetailed tritium three-dot sights, 30 LPI frontstrap checkering, Kimber’s Carry Melt treatment (which rounds and blends edges to reduce snagging), an ambidextrous thumb safety, and either checkered rosewood grips or checkered rosewood Lasergrips;
- the Micro 9 Raptor, which features a KimPro silver finish on the frame, a satin silver finish on the slide, rear grip scaling on the slide, slide-top scallops, mainspring housing scallops, scaled zebrawood grips, frontstrap scaling, an ambidextrous thumb safety and dovetailed three-dot tritium sights;
- the Micro 9 Bel Air, which features a Bel Air Blue finish on the frame, a mirror-polished finish on the slide, dovetailed tritium sights and ivory micarta grips; and
- the Micro 9 Sapphire, which features a satin silver finish on the frame, a polished bright blue PVD coating on the slide, cut scroll engraving and border on the slide, a bright blue PVD coating on the small parts, ball-milled grooves on the front strap, a grooved mainspring housing, dovetailed three-dot tritium sights and thin blue/black ball-milled G-10 grips.
